A DIPLOMATIC RESPONSE TO RICK PERRY

Veteran's Day in DC

This weekend was extended, so I became a tourist in my extended stay city. It's only fitting that I visit the mall and it's memorials. The Korean War Memorial is a fitting reminder of service and sacrifice.

Flag Day has come and gone, and the results are in. I'm going to Gregory, South Dakota, "The Happening Place!" That is, of course, if Gregory, SD is nestled in the hills between the Hejaz and the Hadhramaut and is currently experiencing civil unrest. So more accurately, I'm heading to Sana'a, Yemen. After just a few months of training, I'll be in a city that has featured on BBC's front page for 4 days running. Certainly Sana'a is the happening place. If anyone is anxious to visit, I'll be accepting guests.

There was mention of the mighty Lada in class, so instead of something new, here's a Lada full of watermelons.

Roadtrip America

America is a fantastic country. We built a stadium out of corn and grace our parks with 40 ton concrete cattle. As we should.
